Jebale!

Well, this was an extremely fast week. Wednesday, we had a Zone Development meeting which was nice! Then Thursday was the Missionary World Wide Broadcast! It was so great!! They started with basically a recap of last year's meeting and it had some very inspiring stuff. The question was, "How can missionary's know when they are fulfilling their purpose?" Elder Bednar said, "They can know when they quit worrying about it!" I loved that. Sometimes we get too worried about if we are doing what we are supposed to be doing. Instead when we stop worrying about ourselves and worry about others, we will automatically be doing those things!! It was great! Then Friday we had interviews with President. It was a great interview. He is very inspiring and is truly changing this mission.

Sunday, we had the 4 baptisms go through. The first guy's name is Gorden. He was very prepared. He has read through 3rd Nephi starting on like Tuesday!! He was quoting scripture and stuff when we did the Baptism Interview Questions Review with him! It was awesome! The other three are some kids that have been taught for a long time and their dad finally agreed to let them be baptized. They are also very powerful!! It was a great service!!

Well, I love you all. Keep doing great and keep a smile on your face!

Culture Shock..

Jebale!

Well, I am not kidding when I say I got culture shock. My comp has been laughing at me since we have been together. hahaha But it has been good. Not a lot has happened. It was only a half week in the field. Leaving Busia was not easy. But I know it is for the best.

Sunday we had Stake Conference and it was a very historical day! The Uganda Kampala Stake split into two stakes making 3 stakes in Uganda now! That means that Mengo Branch will now be a ward! Very awesome! I didn't get to watch much because there were no more seats inside, but I heard it was pretty great! haha. Also having some good things happening with the work. The city is a little bit more difficult when it comes to the work. They have had some really powerful investigators here who have been coming to church, but they haven't had baptism dates, so I just decided we needed to go for it so we set it for next week and they have all accepted them! It was a miracle. There has only been like 7 baptisms here in the last year so it will be a pretty big deal to get this many in one week.

Well, I love you guys! I will try to give more info and stuff next week!

Bushwacker to City Boy

Habari, or I guess I need to switch back to Jebale!

I am being transferred to a place smack dab in the middle of Kampala in a place called Mengo! My new comp will be Elder Magumura from Zimbabwe! It should be really great and very different to be serving in the city after being in the bush for the first 16 months. But I will get to enjoy some luxuries I have been missing! My son, Elder Yemoh, will be staying and will be in a threesome in which he is now the District Leader! Should be a great experience!

Well, it was just another week! We have been working hard to continue Busia on the fire streak it is on. We are having some difficulties finding new people to teach. Today, because it is one of my last days here we had an American BBQ. I made cheese burgers and French fries at a member's place! It was super nice! I am going to miss everyone here in Busia. It has been my favorite area for sure and I will never forget all of the amazing people I have had the privilege to meet and hope to make it back here one day!

Well, not much else. hopefully I will have some exciting things from my new area next week! Until then, I love you all. Stay Golden.

Just There

Habari!

It was just another week. Nothing too crazy. I shared some things in my package with some kids! They all loved the Punch Balloons! And everyone old and young loved the glow sticks! It was way awesome!

I really don't have much to say, but just some things I have been pondering lately.. It is just so amazing to see how the Lord's plan works. A string of events that we call "accidents" or "coincidence" turn into being in the right place at the right time. I Cannot count how many times I have just acted on a small thought and it ended up leading us to someone or something that we needed to do. I have heard a quote before that says, "85% of a righteous man's thoughts are from the Spirit." If you think of doing something and it is a good thing, DO IT! It is probably the Spirit.

Well, I love you all. Thanks for your support and love! Have a great week!

Wait.... Which year is it?

Jambo!

I cannot accept that it is 2017. Time doesn't exist in the mission field. It is just going too fast. But, that is life.

It was a good ending to a decent week. We had the baptisms of Alex, Mercy, Robin, and Vickie. It was great! Minus the fact that we didn't have any water.. Luckily it was on a Saturday, so we had time to fill it from the tank we have at the church, carrying buckets of water from the bathroom to the font. Ending up with approximately 2 feet of water that was a nice algae green... hahaha. However, everyone was baptised. They just had to lay down.. It was actually pretty cool, but extremely stressful.

Today we also got to go to the Source of the Nile/ Animal park. It was way cool! Although I don't like snakes it was really cool. haha.

For the New Year there were a couple of Fireworks... haha but it was very uneventful. Just enjoyed some glow sticks I received in a package. I hope you all have made some new goals for this year and that those goals will bring you closer to Christ. I know that is what is truly important. I love you all.
