Splash

Jebale,

It was kind of a slow week when it came to lessons, but it was fast time wise. Sandrah was Baptized!! It was a great service and she bore a powerful testimony! It was a pretty normal week other than that. Besides that, our washing machine broke..... So that sucks. Things are going well though.

I thought a lot about the First Vision this week. We were able to watch the new first vision video last week, which is awesome! Then, I was reading in a student manual in our house called "The Dispensation of the Fullness of Times" and it talked about how it is the most important event that has happened since the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. It is crazy to think how much of an effect one question, one decision, can have on so many people! Millions! What if he decided not to ask God, or didn't read that verse in James?! Even for us we need to make those small meaningful decisions that will end up affecting eternity! Just something to think about!

I love you all! Have a great week!

Gift of Tongues in an English mission?

Jebale!

Well, I have kind of a cool story. On Tuesday we were doing some tracting, and we found this lady from Congo! (there are a lot here) and she only spoke Swahili and French. And so I started talking to her in Swahili small, and then we started having a full on conversation! It was way cool! Even my companion was surprised. It was pretty cool! Nothing really came from it, but I am sure it gave her some happiness to get to talk in her own language!

Other than that it was a good week! Sunday we were able to find a really powerful family! Hopefully it all pans out with them. The Man had a great desire to know more! Sandra is still doing good. She is on track to be baptized this week so I hope it all goes well! Not much else than that. We don't have a lot of progressing investigators. A lot of finding and dropping. But that's how it goes!

I love you all! Thanks for all your support!

Psh... I remember when I was a Teenager.

Jebale!

Thanks for all the birthday wishes! Didn't do too much for it, but it was a good one so far! Played a lot of pool! I went 10-1. Lost the very last one! Planning on cooking some nice food tonight with my district. But other than that nothing too special!

John Bosco was confirmed this week! He is very powerful and I am excited for him! Nothing too crazy has been happening lately. Had some interesting service this week. I helped tear down a wall and gate. Used a sledge hammer and was sore for like two days.. (I am becoming a wimp..) But it was fun! We have one girl who is progressing very well! She even beat us to church this Sunday! She hopefully will be baptized on the 26th. She is doing great! Just pushing and trying to put my shoulder to the wheel. I love my district and everything is always just fun!

Not much else to report! I love you all! Thanks for all your support!

Greeting from the Promised Land

Jebale!

It was a pretty good week! We have been working really hard and have been seeing things start to move forward. John Bosco was baptized this week! He bore a powerful testimony at the service! I am so excited for him! We are teaching some other people who are progressing very well, and will hopefully be baptized soon! The hard thing about here is how many YSAs there are. It is easy to teach them, but they aren't very committed, so to get them to come to church is not easy. So we do a lot of finding and a lot of dropping. We are have a lot of fun though. Finding is something that can be very fun. Getting to meet and know new people.

Today we took a trip down to Entebbe to the zoo! It was pretty awesome! Not quite as cool as a game park, but not to bad for the city life... haha. Saw some nice animals and ate some KFC! haha. I love my district. It is fun to be in a District with all Africans! They even say I am an African minus the white skin of course! haha! But other than that not much. Just living the dream here in Uganda. I echo the words of Ammon, "Yea, I desire to dwell among this people for a time; yea, and perhaps until the day I die."

I love you all and hope you keep on the straight and narrow! Remember that you are God's Child and he love you more than you can comprehend.
