Well, it was a pretty good week. Ismael got baptized! It was great. George was not able to, because we couldn't get proof of his marriage, so we will be working on that. At Ismael's baptism, we were filling up the font and the tap ran out of water.. (only in Africa) and so we filled up the font with buckets. The water came from a tank so it was super green! It was only about 2 or so feet of water, but it worked!! haha super nice.
Not much else. We got transfer news today and I will be training here in Busia!! Elder Yamoh from Ghana! haha Elder Hart is switching sides and white washing as the DL. I am very excited for this opportunity! I love you all! Keep up the good work!
Love, Elder Hawk
You know you're in Africa when you get a Masai Shuka. (see picture below)
Note: I asked Elder Hawk what a typical day of eating was like. This was his reply: Lots of Chappati. (thick tortillas) With beans or like a breakfast burrito. Posho (white mush made from maize flour) With chicken or beef. Matooke (special cooked banana) Things like that.
